Jaggesh had come to say good bye to his friend and Transport Minister R Ashok, who was waiting to board Hampi Express train to go to Bellary. Meanwhile, they heard somebody shouting for help and they rushed towards the direction and found Vijay trapped under the wheel of train.

Jaggesh personally took charge of the rescue operation of the victim and managed to get him medical care well within the stipulated hour. "It was sad to see the man wailing and no one around even moving a finger. The man needed to be pulled out immediately," The actor said.

However, before starting his journey, R Ashok gave Jaggesh Rs10,000 to cater to the injured man's immediate medical expenses. Jaggesh stayed at the hospital and assured the man's parents the best of treatment free of cost. But he refused to take credit for his action.
