The
President
of
Karnataka
Film
Academy
(KFA),
TS
Nagabharana"s
controversial
statement
has
irked
the
Kannada
Film
Directors
Association
(KFDA).
And
upset
directors
held
a
protest
against
him
in
front
of
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
(KFCC)
insisting
that
he
should
get
down
from
his
position
as
the
President
of
KFA.
During
the
Karnataka
State
Film
Awards
at
Shimoga
in
April,
he
had
said
that
the
President
of
KFCC,
Dr.
Jayamala
had
said
that
there
was
no
need
to
send
invitation
cards
to
directors.
They
would
only
send
cards
to
the
film
artistes.
This
idea
had
tempted
the
Kannada
Film
Directors
Association.
The
Kannada
Film
Directors
had
gathered
at
KFCC
to
confirm
her
statement
on
Monday.
Senior
director
TS
Nagabharana
was
also
present
on
the
occasion.
When
he
was
asked
about
her
statement,
He
changed
his
tone
and
said
that
Jayamala
had
not
made
her
statement
in
that
tone.
This
doubled
their
wrath
against
him
and
led
them
to
ask
for
his
resignation
from
his
post.
The
President
of
the
KFDA,
SV
Rajendra
Singh
Babu,
directors
Prem,
MS
Ramesh,
AMR
Ramesh,
Nagendra
Prasad,
Nagendra
Urs,
Mahesh
and
several
others
were
present
at
the
protest
against
TS
Nagabharana.
The
Association
decided
to
boycott
all
the
functions
organized
by
the
Academy.
