Dr. Raj Cup Twenty20 Cricket shifted to Davangere

Davanagere is becoming the hub of Kannada film activities these days. Several filmmakers are using it as a platform to launch music of their movies. The reason behind this development is that the city has got huge number of movie goers. Now, the latest and biggest Sandalwood event is shifted from Bangalore to Davanagere. Do you know which event is it?

Yes! It is Dr. Raj Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament. The Cricket Match is shifted to Davanagere now. Earlier, it was reported that Karnataka Dancers Association (KDA) would hold the match at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on July 25. But the location has been shifted to Davanagere on the advice of Sudeep.

According to Sudeep, Davanagere is a centre place of Karnataka. Moreover, it is the native land of generous people. That is why Kicha suggested that it would be good place to hold the matches. So the KDA has shifted the Cricket match from Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore to Davanagere.

Meanwhile, the preparations for the Dr. Raj Cup have been already started and are now going on briskly at Davanagere. Several artistes are excited to fight for the Dr. Rajkumar Trophy. Earlier, the organisers had planned to hold the semi-final and final matches in Bangalore, but the idea was dropped at the last moment. The tickets are available at the District playground at Rs. 100.

However, the KDA is organising the T20 Cricket match to raise funds to buy a site for its building. It has formed eight teams based on the different fields of filmmaking. All the top Kannada actors, director, producers and technicians are taking part in this T20 Cricket Tournament. And several actress are also set to cheer for their favourite heros' teams.
