Sharmila Mandre denies dating Tamil actor Arya

Kannada actress Sharmila Mandre, who is presently acting alongside Duniya actor Vijay in the movie Kari Chirathe, has dismissed the reports of dating Tamil actor Arya. She has said that people pair her with anyone they like, but she is not interested in Arya and they are not a couple.

The rumours about their alleged affair started after they were spotted together in Mysore recently. Sharmila says that she was there for shooting the movie Kari Chirathe, while Arya was canning a song for Chikku Bukku with lead actresses Shreya Saran and Amrita Rao"s sister Preetha Rao. They had dinner together.

Surprised Sharmila has now set the record straight by saying it is just a speculation. “I"ve been getting calls from various people asking me about it. I"m really surprised. People pair me with anyone they like. But sorry to disappoint. I"m not interested in Arya, so we"re not a couple," the Bangalore Times quotes her as saying.

However, Sharmila and Arya were also spotted grooving at the South Scope awards in Hyderabad recently. But the Kannada actress says that she knows him quite well, but she does not have close relationship with him. “We"re not close buddies, though, you could say we"re acquaintances," the Bangalore Times quotes her as saying.
