Actress-turned-politician Shruthi, who was dumped from the post of
president of the Women Empowerment Committee earlier this year, is
now returning to big screen after a long gap. Although she had
announced her next project last year, it was delayed over her row
with her then boyfriend Chakravarthy. Now, her latest movie has
been titled Namma Kalyani.
Namma Kalyani is based on a contemporary social issue.
It is a family oriented movie, which deals with mental trauma
undergone by a mother and her adopted daughter. Their painful story
is the subject matter of the movie. It is now all set to go to
floors from June 18.
Besides directing the film Namma Kalyani, Vasu Alur has
also taken the responsibility of writing the story, screenplay and
dialogues. Raju will score music while SNB Murthy wields the camera
for the film, which will have Rajshekhar"s editing. It is produced
by SNB Murthy, Geetha Alur, Ramesh Kallur and Dr. H Anjinappa.
Riya, Nakshatra, Bank Janardhan, Sushil Mokashi, G Krishna and
several others are in the star cast. The movie Namma
Kalyani is brought to screen by the banner Bellichukki.
However, Shruthi is also acting in the film Mayadantha
Male, which is being directed by Viresh Doddaballapur.
