Sudeep is Captain of Sandalwood team in CCLT20

Popular actor Kicha Sudeep has become the Captain of Sandalwood team in Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) T20, while powerstar Puneet Rajkumar has been chosen as the Icon Player of the team. Both the Kannada actors are very confident that they would win the CCLT20 trophy in the first season.

Rebel star Ambareesh announced the team for CCLT20 at a press conference held in Windsor Hotel, Bangalore yesterday evening. Later, Sudeep said, “We put on make make up for all the 365 days in a year and struggle very hard to entertain the audience on screen. Now, it is a time to get down to the field without make up and play cricket under the sunshine to entertain the fans."

The Kicha star added, “There'll be five main film industries like Sandalwood, Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood involved in the CCL T20. This would be really a nice opportunity for the stars of all these film industries to come together, sit under one roof and share their feelings and experiences. I am sure that we are going to be the winner of the CCL's first season."

The Sandalwood actor is now busy with the selection of the players for his team. He further said, “We've seniors like Ambi Mama, Doddanna and producer Rockline Venkatesh for our support. They'll guide and help us to win this CCL trophy. We've had two meetings for the selection of the players, but we've not finalised yet. We've ample time before we start rehearsing for the matches. We'll have another meeting with all the Kannada film stars to decide the team members."

Puneet Rajkumar said, “I'm very happy to be a part of the CCL team. Although I've been chosen as the Icon Player of Kannada film stars Team, I'm not good at playing cricket. But surely, I'm going to learn a lot from our captain Kicha Sudeep. Besides me and Sudeep, the team will have other players like Upendra, Darshan, Ganesh, Shivaraj Kumar and many others. It's going to be rocking event."

Upendra said, “I really like to play cricket, but I'm not good at it. I hope Sudeep and others will teach me how to play. I'm sure that our team is going to win the match."

However, Kicha Sudeep, Real star Upendra, Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar actress Tara, Doddanna and producer Rockline Venkatesh, CCL directors Vishnuvardhan Indhuri, Srinivasulu Murthy and Tirumal Reddy were present in the Press conference.
