Yatna music launched by Dr. Veerendra Hegde

Soon-to-be released Kannada movie Yatna, made by debutant director Samarth Naik, had its music launched recently. The founder of SDM Group of Institutions, Padmabhushana Dr. Veerendra Hegde, who rarely attends any movie-related functions, released the audio at SDM Utsav 2010 held in SDM Engineering College Dharwad.

SDM Utsav 2010 was a grand gala event and more than 25,000 audiences had gathered there. As Samarth Naik screened the melodious songs and trailers of the movie Yatna, the audience gave a thunderous response. Many of them even said that they were eagerly looking forward to watch it.

The movie Yatna has 3 songs and once instrumental song. Ravi Kamati and Vinay Nag J have penned lyrics and upcoming composer Vineeth Raj Menon has scored music for them. Ashwin M Hiremath, Chitra Bhat, Vineeth Raj Menon, Sunil Koshi, Pradeesh Chandran and others have rendered their voice for them.

Besides direction, Samarth Naik himself has written story, screenplay and dialogue for Yatna, which is all about an engineer"s effort to establish a big software company. Newcomers like Girish Bhat, Lashma, Vijay Kalkundri, Ravi Kamati, Mahesh Hiremath, Deepak Prabhu, Vedavendra T N are in the leads. Samarth is planning to release it in January 2011.
