BS Yediyurappa held a meeting with the officials on Friday and Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, her son-in-law actor Anirudh and KFCC president Basanth Kumar Patil, who were also present on the occasion, requested him to speed up the memorial works. The CM confirmed that the construction of Vishnu's memorial will start from this Dasara and will be ready by Vishnu's next birthday.
The state government architects have already finalised the blue print of the memorial and it will be built in two acres of land in Abhiman Studios. It is designed like Shri Chakra, which is formed by nine interlocking triangles. BS Yeddyurappa has reserved Rs10 crores for the building.
However, Bharathi Vishnu is all happy for the blue print of the Memorial has been prepared according to the wish of her family. She says that there will be a park, fountain and meditation centre in the proposed Vishnu's memorial.
Finally, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has given a tentative date to start building late Kannada actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan's memorial, which was announced by him immediately after the death of the star earlier this year. The foundation stone for the construction will be laid on the auspicious day Dasara on 8th September.
