Ashok Kheny, the proprietor of NICE (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises), who has bought the Kannada actors' team for Rs. 17 crs for 10 years, has officially named the team as 'Karnataka Bulldozers' and unveiled the logo of the team at a function held at the Grand Ashok Hotel on Thursday. Meanwhile, he has also promised to donate Rs.3 crs for the Kannada Cinema Artists' Association.
Ashok Kheny's entertainment company, AKK Entertainment, owns the team Karnataka Bulldozers. The 21 film actors and technicians have been selected from Kannada film industry for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) T20 Cricket match. Kicha Sudeep is the Captain and Dhruv Sarja is the Vice-Captain of the team. Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Diganth, Sri Murali, JK, Kiran, Pradeep, Abhimanyu, Rahul, Vijay, Dharma Keerthiraj, Bhasker, Raju, Somu, Rajeeva, Tarun Chandra, Tarun Sudhir are also in the team.
However, Puneet Rajkumar and Ramya are the ambassadors for Karnataka Bulldozers at the CCL. The first match of Karnataka team will be held in Bangalore on 4th June 2011. In the first match, it will fight against the 'Mumbai Heroes', which is owned by Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
