Daisy Bopanna ties knot with Amit

Actress Daisy Bopanna, who was earlier linked with Indian cricketer Sreeshanth, has silently tied the knot with Amit Jaju. The Kannada actress' marriage took place in Indore on Saturday, 28th May 2011. According to sources, she had kept her marriage plans secret in order to avoid unwanted publicity.

Amit Jaju is the son of Prakash Jaju, a former secretary to Bollywood babe Priyanka Chopra. Daisy Bopanna's husband is a senior manager in the fraud and investigations department of an advisory firm. Now, film industry sources say that the Garam Masala girls's marriage to Amit will surely improve her Bollywood career as her father-in-law will be there to help her out.

Daisy Bopanna's family hails from Kodagu in Karnataka. She started her career with theatre. Later, she debuted in films with the Kannada film Bimba, which was directed by Kavita Lankesh. So far, she has acted in more than 15 films, including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies.
