Producer Shankare Gowda is now very happy. He says, "I have tasted success earlier, but not as big as the success of Kempe Godwa. It is really beyond my expectations and I would like to attribute this success to my team and all movie buffs." The movie has done wonderful business in all the district. Especially, it has done notable collection in a theatre in Mangalore and that cinema hall is first in the visit list of Kicha Sudeep.
According to sources, the Kempe Gowda unit will visit places like Belgaum, Dharwad, Hubli, Bijapur, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Bellary and Hospet after Mangalore. It is said that along with Sudeep and Shankare Gowda, heroine Ragini Dwivedi and a few technicians of the film are expected to take part in the 'thanks giving trip'.
However, Sudeep and Shankare Gowda were afraid that Kempe Gowda, which was released in 150 theatres across the state, may not do well at the Box Office because final examinations were going on. Moreover, most of the people were busy watching the World Cup 2011. But the movie has proved their calculations wrong and has earned more than its production cost in the first week of its release.
Recently it was Mylari team, which toured Karnataka and celebrated its success with Vijay Yathra. Now, it is the turn of Kempe Gowda team to go on 'thanks giving trip'. Director-cum-actor Sudeep, who is all excited after Kempe Gowda team won the T20 cricket match against the Press Club of Bangalore on Sunday, is now traveling across the state with his team. Sources claim that Sudeep's team will visit the theatres outside Bangalore to thank all the fans for the huge success of the film.
