Golden
girl
Ramya
a.k.a.
Divya
Spandana
had
earlier
acted
with
Real
Star
Upendra
in
the
movie
Bhimoos
Bang
Bang
Kids,
but
it
did
not
hit
the
screens.
Now,
the
Kannada
actress
is
once
again
joining
hands
with
the
Sandalwood
superstar
in
the
film
Gandhinagarada
Mahatme,
which
also
features
director-cum-actor
Prem
in
the
lead.
Gandhinagarada
Mahatme
is
a
remake
of
the
Malayalam
film
Udayananu
Tharam,
but
Ramya
says
that
it
is
not
a
frame-to-frame
because
Upendra
has
made
lots
of
changes
in
the
original
script.
Meanwhile,
she
also
reveals
why
she
accepted
the
role.
She
adds
that
the
film
is
partially
mythological
and
her
role
is
modelled
on
Draupadi.
She
always
wanted
to
act
in
a
period
film.
So
she
accepted
the
role.
However,
Ramya
is
currently
busy
with
the
shooting
of
movies
like
Yogish
starrer
Siddlingu
and
Radhika
Kumaraswamy"s
debut
production
Lucky.
She
is
expected
to
take
up
Uppi's
next
project
Gandhinagarada
Mahatme,
which
will
go
on
floors
on
September
18,
Upendra"s
birthday.
