the
awards
for
various

by

president
of
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
(KFCC),
Basanth
Kumar
Patil.
It
won
the
award
in
the
Best
Children"s
Film
category.
While
Patil's
yet
another
produced
movie
Bettada
Jeeva,
which
is
the
screen-adaptation
of
Dr.
Shivarama
Karanth's
novel,
was
adjudged
as
the
Best
Film
on
Environment
Conservation
/
Preservation.

Suresh's
movie
Puttakkana
Highway,
which
is
inspired
by
the
Nice
Corridor
project,
has
bagged
the
honour
for
Best
Film
on
Social
Issues
category.
The
movie
is
hitting
the
screens
today
in
12
cinema
halls.
Last
year
Sandalwood
bagged
five
awards.
It
had
won
two
Rajat
Kamals
(Silver
Lotus)
and
two
Swarna
Kamals
(Golden
Lotus).
However,
this
time
it
has
to
be
satisfied
with
four
National
recognitions.
