make
her
comeback
to
Kannada
film
industry
with
Upendra"s
next
film,
Godfather.
She
is
returning
to
the
Sandalwood
after
14
years.
The
movie
will
hit
the
floors
on
April
25,
2011.
Simran,
who
has
been
doing
supporting
roles
after
her
marriage,
will
be
playing
one
of
the
female
lead
roles
in
Godfather.
Upendra
will
be
seen
in
triple
roles
in
which
the
actress
is
reportedly
pairing
up
for
the
senior
character
of
Uppi
in
the
film.
Simran,
who
dominated
the
Tamil
and
Telugu
films,
made
her
Sandalwood
debut
in
Shivraj
Kumar
starrer
Simhada
Mari
in
1997.
Meanwhile,
the
hunt
for
other
female
lead
roles
is
on.
Godfather
is
a
remake
of
Tamil
blockbuster
Varalaru,
which
starred
Ajith
Kumar,
Asin
Thottumkal
and
Kanika
Subramaniam.
The
story
was
written
and
directed
by
KS
Ravikumar.
However,
Tamil
cinematographer
PC
Sriram
directs
the
Kannada
version
of
the
film
and
K
Manju
is
the
producer.
