The
arrest
of
former
Karnataka
Tourism
Minister
G
Janardhana
Reddy
has
become
big
sensational
news
on
the
Internet.
Every
section
of
media
is
cashing
in
on
the
mining
baron's
arrest.
Now,
Kannada
film
producer
Soorappa
Babu,
who
had
made
movie
Prithvi
based
on
Reddy's
brother's
corruption
and
tyranical
rule
in
Bellary,
has
reportedly
planned
to
encash
issue
by
making
a
film
on
his
arrest.
According
to
reports,
Soorappa
Babu
has
registered
a
new
title
called
Bellary
Khaidi
No.
697
at
the
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
(KFCC)
yesterday
(6th
September).
Reports
suggest
that
the
story
of
the
film
will
based
on
the
life
of
G
Janardhana
Reddy.
But
it
is
not
known
who
will
write
the
script
and
play
the
lead
role
in
the
movie.
Soorappa
Babu's
previous
production
Prithvi
was
a
critically
acclaimed
as
well
as
a
successful
movie
at
the
Box
Office.
The
producer's
bold
attempt
was
a
mirror
to
the
prevailing
corrupt
system
in
Bellary
and
hero
Puneet
Kumar,
who
played
an
IAS
officer,
was
used
as
strong
weapon
to
eliminate
the
rowdy
elements
and
clean
the
city.
Puneet
starrer
Prithvi,
which
was
written
and
directed
by
Jacob
Verghese,
was
not
much-hyped
movie.
Soorappa
Babu
had
released
the
movie
without
creating
a
stint
about
the
subject
of
the
film.
But
his
latest
attempt
has
become
big
sensation
even
before
its
official
announcement.
However,
it
should
be
recalled
here
that
popular
journalist
Ravi
Belagere
had
announced
to
make
a
film
titled
Mukyamanthri
I
Love
you,
which
was
to
be
based
on
the
alleged
relationship
between
former
CM
Kumarswamy
and
actress-turned-producer
Radhika.
But
the
project
has
not
seen
the
day
so
far.
Sources
claim
that
the
movie
has
been
dropped
midway.
Another
movie
Devanhalli,
which
was
surprisingly
presented
by
Reddy
Brothers
-
G
Karunakarreddy,
Somashekhar
Reddy,
Janardhan
Reddy
and
Shriramulu,
was
announced
to
bring
the
story
of
HD
Devegowda,
HD
Kumaraswamy
and
Radhika
on
screen.
But
that
too
never
hit
the
screen.
Now,
it
should
be
seen,
will
Soorappa
Babu
be
able
to
complete
the
project?
Or
will
he
drop
the
project
due
to
evil
elements?
