Excited Kicha has reportedly signed to do another Kannada film with the producer. He will join hands with upcoming Kannada star Chiranjeevi Sarja in his next movie, which is said to be a remake of hit Telugu movie Lakshyam.

Lakshyam is an action-cum-family entertainer and has been made with a whopping budget of Rs. 8 crores in 2007. Directed by Srivas, the film features Gopichand, Jagapathi Babu and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. It has become big hit of 2007 by completing 150 days at the Box Office. Another aspect about it is that it is one of the biggest hit in Gopichand's career. Later, it has been remade in Tamil as Maanja Velu (2010) and in Bengali as Fighter (2011).

Jagapathi Babu played Assistant Police Commisioner, while Gopichand appeared as his brother in Lakshyam. The film is all about Gopi taking revenge on the killers of his brother. Now, its Kannada remake is said to star Sudeep as an honest ACP and Chiranjeevi Sarja as his brother. According to sources, the producer is on a hunt for suitable actress for the female lead in it.

The Kannada remake of Lakshyam is said to be directed by Saikumar's brother Aiyappa, who has already directed two Kannada films like Agni IPS and yet-to-be released film Veera. Kempe Gowda fame Ravi Shankar is expected to play the villain in the untitled movie. Currently, pre-production preparations are in full swing. If everything goes according plans, the film is expected to start its shooting April.
