Actor-cum-director
Sudeep's
latest
Kannada
movie
Kempe
Gowda
is
one
among
the
much-expected
movies
that
are
slated
to
hit
the
screens
in
2011.
Now,
the
much-hyped
film
is
releasing
tomorrow
(10th
March).
It
will
be
screened
in
100
theatres
including
15
multiplexes
across
the
state.
Another
interesting
fact
about
the
film
is
that
it
is
releasing
in
Santosh
Theatre,
which
was
in
news
after
Gun
director
Harish
Raj
tried
to
commit
suicide
by
jumping
from
its
roof
to
protest
against
theatre
owner's
decision
to
remove
his
movie
and
screen
Kempe
Gowda.
Besides
this,
the
movie
bosses
have
also
booked
Prasan,
Uma,
Kaveri,
Govardhan,
Navarang
and
many
other
important
theatres
in
Bangalore.
Movie
Kempe
Gowda
is
remake
of
Tamil
movie
Singam.
It
revolves
around
smuggling
activities,
which
are
taking
place
in
the
city.
Sudeep
appears
as
a
cop,
which
was
played
by
Surya
in
the
original.
The
film
is
the
right
mixture
of
action,
sentiments
and
comedy.
Its
producers
are
hoping
that
this
Kannada
film
be
a
big
hit
like
the
Tamil
film.
Kempe
Gowda
has
been
directed
by
Sudeep
and
produced
by
Shankare
Gowda.
Actress
Ragini
Dwivedi
is
starring
alongside
Sudeep
in
the
film.
Industrialist
Ashok
Kheny
is
appearing
in
an
important
role
and
Anchal
Sabarwal
and
Ravishankar
P
are
in
other
star
cast.
The
specialty
of
the
film
is
that
Crazy
Star
Ravichandran
has
directed
and
shot
a
song
sequence
for
it.
However,
Sudeep
has
now
made
a
big
name
in
both
South
and
Bollywood,
but
his
movies
are
not
crossing
the
mark
that
he
had
set
at
the
beginning
of
his
career.
So
he
has
planned
to
make
it
big
with
Kempe
Gowda.
He
has
really
done
lot
of
hard
work
for
it.
Now,
he
is
pinning
lots
of
hopes
on
the
film.
