Upendra to act in Best Actor remake after Super

Real star Upendra returned to direction after 10 years through the movie Super, which has become a Blockbuster movie. Now, Kannada superstar, who is working on the Telugu and Tamil versions of Super, is said to be coming back to remakes. Yes! Sources claim that Uppi is gearing to act in the remake of Martin Prakkat's directorial debut venture Best Actor, which stars Malayalam actor Mammootty in the lead role.

Mammootty's film Best Actor has become a big success in Kerala theatres. So Martin Prakkat has planned to remake it in Kannada. He approached Sandalwood star Upendra, who has watched it and got thrilled by it. Immediately, the actor has given his consent to star in its Kannada remake. Uppi, who considers this remake as another important film in his career, has not suggested much changes in the story lines.

However, Martin Prakkat has got the best debutante director award for the film Best Actor. He is now all excited to direct Upendra in its Kannada version. Besides playing hero, Upendra has also agreed to produce it. Currently, he is busy with the works for the Telugu and Tamil versions of Super. He may start canning for the remake within six months after releasing both versions.
