Upendra's Kalpana takes off

Upendra and Sai Kumar's forthcoming Kannada movie Kalpana took off yesterday on the occasion of the Real Star's wedding anniversary. The muhurath function of the film was held at Kanteerava studios, Bengaluru.

Speaking at the occasion, Upendra said that the original version of Kalpana impressed him a lot, which made him take up the project. He praised Raghava Lawrence, the creator of Kanchana, not for his directorial abilities but for his acting skills.

Kalpana also features Sai Kumar, who will be seen in the role of a transgender, Shruthi, Umashri and others. Lakshmi Rai is playing Uppi's love interest in the thriller flick, which is directed by Rama Narayanan.
