Actress Hemashree's mysterious death

Television and film actress Hemashree died under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday (October 9). She was the wife of politician Sudheendra Babu, who is now in police custody for his alleged role in her death.

According to Sudheendra Babu, he along with his wife Hemashree went to Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, recently and stayed at his friend's house. While on their way to Bangalore, she fell unconscious. He rushed to Baptist Hospital around 3.30 pm where she was declared brought dead.

The doctors said that Hemashree was dead at least six hours before she was brought to the hospital. Later, her parents filed a complaint and claimed that she was murdered. The cops have arrested Sudheendra Babu and are investigating the case.

Hemashree (26) and Sudheendra Babu (48) tied the knot on June 22, 2008 in Tirupathi. The age difference between the couple had raised eyebrows after the actress lodged a complaint against her hubby-parents claiming that she was not aware of his age and she was cheated. However, surprisingly, she took back the complaint the next day.

The actress entered films as a child artist and acted in over 35 television serials. Sirivantha, Varsha, Marma, Ugragami, Veera Parampare are her notable films. She ruled the small-screen for about six years and gained popularity in Neere Ninagondu Seere.
