Actress Ramya faced the heat of Bharat bandh earlier today, as her caravan was attacked by protesters in Mysore. The actress got into trouble when a group of BJP members landed in the sets of her upcoming untitled movie and asked them to call off the shoots.
TV reports say that Ramya was unwilling to cancel the shoots claiming that the day was not been declared a holiday by the Film Chamber in order to support the bandh. This led to heated verbal exchange between the protesters and the actress, leading the BJP men to vandalise the sets. The incident took place at Lalit Mahal.
However, Ramya has shared her version of the story on Twitter. She wrote, "I don't mind a peaceful protest, but to come to my sets and damage the caravan while my driver and his 8-year-old son is seated, is not done. I got down and told them to leave. those are the clippings are on TV. I wasn't arguing with the protesters for any other reason." Diganth and many other cast-crew were also present on the sets.
