Actress Ramya faced
the heat of Bharat bandh earlier today, as her caravan was attacked
by protesters in Mysore. The actress got into trouble when a group
of BJP members landed in the sets of her upcoming untitled movie
and asked them to call off the shoots.
TV reports say that Ramya was unwilling to cancel the shoots
claiming that the day was not been declared a holiday by the Film
Chamber in order to support the bandh. This led to heated verbal
exchange between the protesters and the actress, leading the BJP
men to vandalise the sets. The incident took place at Lalit
However, Ramya has shared her version of the story on Twitter.
She wrote, "I don't mind a peaceful protest, but to come to my sets
and damage the caravan while my driver and his 8-year-old son is
seated, is not done. I got down and told them to leave. those are
the clippings are on TV. I wasn't arguing with the protesters for
any other reason." Diganth and many other cast-crew were also
present on the sets.
