The
bandh
called
by
pro-Kannada
groups
over
the
release
of
Cauvery
water
to
Tamil
Nadu
is
gaining
support,
as
the
Kannada
film
industry
has
now
decided
to
remain
shut
down
on
October
6.
This
decision
is
taken
in
the
wake
of
Cauvery
River
Authority's
(CRA)
directive
to
release
9,000
cusecs
of
water
on
a
daily
basis
till
October
15.
On
Wednesday
(September
15),
Sa
Ra
Govindu,
the
president
of
Akhila
Karnataka
Dr
Rajkumar
Abhimanigala
Sangha,
announced
the
news
at
a
press
meet.
He
accused
the
Centre
of
meting
out
step-motherly
treatment
to
Karnataka.
In
order
to
protest
their
decision,
the
entire
Kannada
film
activities
will
be
closed
on
October
6.
"We
will
fight
against
the
injustice
being
done
by
the
Central
Government.
If
the
state
releases
9,000
cusecs
of
water
to
Tamil
Nadu,
our
people
will
face
acute
shortage
of
water," said
Sa
Ra
Govindu.
Meanwhile,
the
film
industry
is
likely
to
hold
a
peaceful
dharana
on

and
it
will
be
participated
by
