Darshan's Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna is not only the biggest-ever movie of his career but also the biggest movie till date in Sandalwood in terms of budget. As it is a historical flick, the budget of the movie has reached three times higher than the regular Kannada films.
According to the makers of Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna, the richness of the film will be seen in every scene. The war sequences proved to be one of the expensive part for the movie. It has to be noted that over 30 elephants, 100s of horses, 1000s of soldiers along with 320 fighters from different part of India were part of these scenes.
Adding to that the traditional costumes and graphic works have also turned costly for the producer's pocket. This has reportedly made producer Anand Appugol and distributor Gangaraju to increase the ticket price at single screens by Rs 5. However, the official statement is yet to be announced on the price hike.
Meanwhile, the release of the movie has been postponed by a week. Now, it will hit the screens on October 19. However, Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna is the biopic of the freedom fighter of the same name. Darshan plays the title character and veteran actress Jayapradha will be seen in the role of Rani Kittoor Chennamma.
