Darshan's Sarathi collects Rs 15 crore at Box Office

Despite
being
a
most
controversial
South
Indian
actor
in
2011,
Darshan
has
become
the
successful
star
of
Sandalwood
in
the
departed
year.
His
Sarathi,
which
was
released
when
he
was
in
jail,
has
been
declared
as
the
highest
grosser
of
2011.
Darshan
had
a
fair
share
of
struggling
and
success
in
2011.
His
first
two
movies
Prince
and
Boss
failed
at
the
Box
Office
but
Sarathi
brought
him
back
on
track
even
though
he
could
not
promote
the
movie.
The
blockbuster
movie
has
collected
Rs
15
crore
net
and
other
satellite
and
audio
rights
have
reportedly
fetched
around
five
crores.
Sarathi
was
made
with
the
budget
of
Rs
7
crore
and
it
hit
the
screens
in
150
theatres.
The
movie
is
nearing
100-day
mark
and
reports
say
that
weekend
collections
are
still
good.
