Karunamayi Dr Vishnuvardhan to hit stands on Sep 18

Janardhana Rao Salanke, who had authored two books, 'Mareyada Manikya - Yajamanru Dr Vishnuvardhan' and 'Simha Garjane' (both on late Dr Vishnuvardhan), is ready with his third book on the iconic actor. His latest book 'Karunamayi Dr Vishnuvardhan', a compilation of special moments shared by people who knew him, will be released on September 18.

"'Karunamaye Dr Vishnuvardhan' throws light on those untold things, which inspired others in one or the other way. I have met his wife, journalists, family, and to understand him through their eyes. What I have tried here is to present the values that he followed and imbibed on others," said Janardhana Rao Salanke.

When asked about how different is this book from his two earlier books, Janardhan explains, "'Mareyada Manikya' was a biography and 'Simha Garjane' chronicled the important events that took place in two years (Dec 30, 2009 - Dec 30, 2011) after his death. But the latest book is unique in its kind, which in my opinion nobody has tried before. The opinions of many well-known personalities on Dr Vishnuvardhan and how he impacted their lives could be found in this book."

"I want to bring a book every year. I am doing this because of never-dying love and respect towards Dr Vishnuvardhan." The freelance journalist-turned-author ends. 'Karunamayi Dr Vishnuvardhan' is likely to be priced around Rs 100 to 140 and it will be released on September 18.
