Darshan's Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna in controversy again

Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna has landed in controversy again. The Darshan starrer movie, which was released on November 1, is in trouble over the portrayal of Nikita's character of Rayanna's girlfriend in the film.

A Kannada group has protested against the movie in Gulbarga and it has demanded the makers of Sangolli Rayanna to delete the Nikita's portion from the film. An activist said, "We object Nikita's portion and the love track 'Nanyedhe veene...' between Darshan and Nikita. Sangolli Rayanna never had an affair and the duet song is an insult to the historical personality."

"Instead of showcasing Sangolli Rayanna's contribution for the freedom movement, the film sends a wrong message about him. They can't have a duet track to add commercial values. We urge makers of the film to remove the song immediately," he concludes.

It has to be noted that in the title card of Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna itself, the movie bosses admit that they have made slight changes in the story for cinematic purpose. However, the movie has got a grand opening and on the release day it has collected Rs 3 crore.
