The television rights of Darshan starrer mega-budget film Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna have been sold for a record price. The satellite rights of the upcoming Kannada film have been acquired by Udaya TV.
If sources are to be believed, Udaya TV has paid whopping Rs 6 crore for the TV rights, thereby breaking the record of Paramathma, which was sold for Rs 4 crore. Despite not being a mass entertainer, it has managed to fetch a record price for the producer. Recently, the audio rights of the film was sold to Ashwini Audio for Rs 64 lakhs.
Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna is the biopic of the freedom fighter of the same name, directed by Naganna. While Darshan plays the title character, veteran actress Jayapradha will be seen in the role of Rani Kittoor Chennamma. It is made with the budget of Rs 30 crore and produced by Anand Appugol.
