I don't have illicit relationship with Darshan: Nikita

Actress Nikita Thukral has finally broken her silence on her alleged relationship with Darshan. The actress at a press meet said that she was made a scapegoat in the entire episode, which started after the Challenging star assaulted his wife Vijayalakshmi and threatened to kill her.

“We were friends and did not have illicit relationship. Vijayalakshmi and entire film industry knew this. Yet, I was dragged into the controversy. Being an actress, it is obvious for me to share good rapport with my co-stars but my friendship with him was blown out of proportion," Nikita said.

The actress says that she was in London when the controversy broke out and she was targeted by a section of people. “I was in London when a BBC reporter quizzed me about having an affair with Darshan. He threw me some embarrassing questions, which hurt me a lot."

Explaining how her situation was, Nikita claims, “Adding to that Kannada Producers' Council decided to ban me and I was helpless. Being a woman I could not do anything but cry all day. It was the worst moments of my life. However, my mother, yoga guru, friends and media stood by me, which gave enough strength to recover."

Nonetheless, Nikita ends on the note that she does not have any ill feeling against Kannada film industry. Like before, she loves Sandalwood and wants to act in more films. Gowriputra and Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna are her upcoming Kannada films.
