Jnanapith laureate Girish Karnad and yesteryear actress Jayanthi were honoured along with big names of Indian cinema like K Balachander, D Ramanaidu, Santhosh Sivan, Sheela, Madhu and Sukumari at the ongoing fourth edition of the FICCI's 'Media and Entertainment Business Conclave' in Chennai.
The event is being held at the ITC Sheraton Park Hotels and Towers, Chennai. It is a three-day event to mark the '100 years of Indian cinema'. It has the presence of renowned personalities from various sectors of Media & Entertainment like film, television, broadcast, visual effects and many more.
The FICCI, which was founded in 1927 by Mahatma Gandhi as a non-profit initiative to boost Indian Industries during the freedom struggle, is also having series of workshops and master classes like scriptwriting, visual effects, red camera and many more.
