Pooja Gandhi's item number in Guruprasad's Director's Special

Pooja Gandhi has struck gold with her recent release Dandupalya. The actress, who almost got the tag of a fading star, is back in form. As a result, offers have once again started coming her way and now she has reportedly bagged an item number in Guruprasad's Director's Special.

Grapevine has it that Guruprasad has recently approached Pooja Gandhi to offer her the special song in his much-delayed Director's Special. Though it is not sure whether she has given a nod or not, the actress is likely to take up the offer in order to boost her career. It is said that Guruprasad himself has penned the lyrics and the shooting is expected to take place in the third week of August.

Sources have said that Pooja Gandhi has been offered Rs 5 lakh for the track and Rangayana Raghu will also be part of the item number. Other details about the track are under wraps. However, Director's Special is a satire on film industry and the movie tries to showcase the other side of Sandalwood. Guruprasad is introducing newcomer Dhananjay through this movie and Rangayana Raghu is playing one of the leads in the film. The details of other cast is yet to be revealed.
