Producer Rakesh Jain commits suicide

Producer Rakesh Jain, who was making Kannada movie Anarkali directed by Sadhu Kokila, committed suicide at his residence in Amruthanagar, Bangalore on August 29. He took his life as he was unable to cope with the burden of loans.

Rakesh Jain, 41, was into mining business. The producer could not repay the heavy loans amounting to Rs 20 crores due to which he was under great stress since the past couple of months. While his family was staying in Bellary, he used to stay alone at his residence in Bangalore. He is survived by his wife and son. The body of Rakesh Jain has been handed to the family after the postmortem and the final rites will be held in Hospet.

Rakesh's film Anarkali was launched in 2011 and Sringar Kitty and Ramya Bharna were supposed to star in the movie. But the movie did not make much progress due to financial constraints.
