Puneet Rajkumar to star in Poraali remake

Puneet Rajkumar will play the lead role in the remake of Tamil film Poraali. The proposed project will be directed by Samuthirakani, who had directed the original film.

Sources say that Puneet Rajkumar has given his consent to act in the remake of Poraali. The movie is made on his home banner Vajreshwari Combines and produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar. It is also noted that Samuthirakani's earlier film Naadodigal was remade in Kannada as Hudugaru, which went on to become a superhit film, last year.

The untitled movie will also mark the debut of Samuthirakani in Kannada. The upcoming project is expected to take off once Puneet Rajkumar completes his other movie Anna Bond.
