Ravichandran
got
nostalgic
on
the
television
show
Kannadada
Kotyadhipati,
where
he
played
the
game
as
a
special
guest
of
the
50th
episode.
While
talking
to
Puneet
Rajkumar
about
his
past,
the
Crazy
Star
remembered
his
tough
days,
especially,
the
days
after
the
Ekangi
disaster,
and
the
opposition
he
faced
from
his
closer
circles
for
taking
up
music
direction.
It
is
well-known
that
Ravichandran
parted
ways
with
Hamsalekha
after
the
actor
choose
to
score
music
for
his
films
in
late
90s.
Initially,
he
was
criticised
for
separating
from
the
Prema
Loka
music
director,
who
had
given
him
many
chartbuster
albums,
and
deciding
to
turn
music
director
for
his
movies.
The
Crazy
Star
recalled
this
and
how
even
his
close
friends
including
superstar
Rajinikanth
had
asked
him
to
quit
music
direction
for
his
own
good.
Ravichandran
said,
"One
day,
all
of
a
sudden,
Rajinikanth
came
to
my
house
in
an
auto
rickshaw.
I
knew
that
the
superstar
wanted
to
advise
me
something.
During
the
chat,
he
asked
me
why
am
I
doing
music
direction
instead
of
concentrating
on
acting.
For
which,
I
said
that
why
do
you
want
me
to
quit
when
I
was
slowly
getting
a
grip
on
music
direction
and
asked
him
to
give
me
one
reason
to
bid
goodbye
to
music."
"I
agreed
that
I
might
have
made
mistakes
during
my
initial
days.
But
when
Rajinikanth
told
me
to
quit,
I
was
able
to
understand
the
nuisance
of
music
direction.
Hence,
I
made
him
listen
to
the
songs
of
Malla
and
told
him
that
if
it
was
not
impressive,
I
could
do
what
he
wants
me
to
do.
But
Rajini
liked
my
music
and
appreciated
my
work," adds
the
multifaceted
actor.
