The satellite rights of Shivaraj Kumar's Shiva directed by Om Prakash Rao has been sold to a leading private channel recently. It is said that the movie has fetched Rs 2.5 crore from the TV rights, which is said to be the highest price for any Shivanna's movie till date.

If reports are to be believed, the channel has signed an agreement with the makers of the film to organise a grand audio launch function of Shiva in Chitradurga and bare complete expenses of the event. It is said that the hype around the Shivaraj Kumar-Om Prakash Rao's combo, which had delivered blockbuster AK-47, made the channel to buy the movie for a record price.

Shiva, which features Ragini Dwivedi in the female lead role, is expected to release in the later part of the year.
