Shriya Saran reduces remuneration for Chandra!

Shriya Saran's entry to Sandalwood has not only excited Kannadigas, but also made them wonder about her remuneration to act in Chandra. This has let rumour mongers to speculate about her remuneration, which she has charged for her first full-fledged Kannada movie.

The buzz in the industry says that Shriya Saran, who gets around 70-80 lakhs per film, has reduced her remuneration for Chandra considering the size of Kannada market. Though the exact price paid for Shriya is not clear, sources say that she got what Ramya is currently charging now.

It may be recalled that the film was offered to Ramya, but she rejected it for reasons best known to her. Later, Amala Paul, Dia Mirza, Amrita Rao were considered for the female lead role before finalising Shriya Saran, who had done cameo in Puneet Rajkumar's Arasu.

Shriya Saran will be seen in the role of a princess in Chandra. The movie is directed by Roopa Iyer. The movie features Ramya Krishnan and SP Balasubramanyam in the important roles.
