Maverick
filmmaker
SS
Rajamouli's
films
have
often
done
good
business
in
Karnataka.
With
his
next
film
with
Sandalwood
superstar
Sudeep,
the
director,
who
was
in
Bangalore
recently
for
the
promotions
of
forthcoming
movie
Eega,
hopes
that
the
latest
flick
would
become
a
much
bigger
hit
than
his
earlier
films
and
also
opened
up
on
his
plans
on
making
a
Kannada
film.
Speaking
at
the
occasion,
SS
Rajamouli
said
that
he
had
a
long-time
dream
of
bringing
the
Vijayanagar
glory
on-screen.
He
has
been
thinking
about
the
subject
since
a
few
years
now
and
wants
to
do
the
film
on
Sri
Krishnadevaraya's
incredible
rule.
He
believes
that
the
empire
has
been
a
symbol
of
cultural
and
emotional
link
of
Kannadigas
and
Andrites.
However,
he
did
not
reveal
when
the
project
is
likely
to
happen.
The
press
meet
was
attended
by
Ravichandran,
Darshan,
producer
D
Suresh
Babu,
MM
Keeravani,
Munirathna
and
others.
SS
Rajamouli
directorial
Eega
starring
Sudeep,
Samantha
and
Nani
will
hit
the
screens
worldwide
on
July
6
in
Telugu,
Tamil
(Naan
ee)
and
Malayalam
(Eecha)
but
in
Karnataka,
it
is
releasing
without
subtitles.
The
socio-fantasy
film
is
a
live
action
film
that
has
an
animated
character,
played
by
Kicha,
‘House
Fly'
in
the
title
role.
