Veena
Malik's
debut
in
Kannada
film
industry
may
have
drawn
huge
attention
of
the
Sandalwood
cine
goers,
but
it
has
not
gone
well
with
political
outfit
Sri
Rama
Sene,
which
has
demanded
to
replace
her
with
an
Indian
actress.
However,
the
director
of
the
film,
Trishul
is
not
willing
to
pay
heed
to
their
demand
by
saying
that
they
are
not
going
to
replace
Veena
at
any
cost.
The
director
told
a
leading
daily
that
being
in
a
democratic
country
allows
him
do
what
he
likes
to
do.
He
completely
believes
that
Veena
Malik
is
the
right
choice
for
the
female
lead
role
in
Dirty
Picture:
Silk
Sakkath
Maga.
Trishal
claims
that
he
was
not
committing
a
crime
and
would
not
bow
down
to
the
demands
of
Sri
Rama
Sene.
He
went
on
to
say
that
they
should
watch
the
movie
before
jumping
into
the
conclusions.
Recently,
the
protesters,
led
by
Sri
Ram
Sene
President
Pramod
Muthalik,
shouted
slogans
and
sought
to
know
why
the
makers
of
Dirty
Picture:
Silk
Sakkath
Maga
had
cast
her
when
there
are
many
talented
Indian
actresses
who
can
fit
into
the
role.
They
had
also
claimed
that
they
will
not
allow
an
actress
from
an
enemy
nation
to
act
in
a
Kannada
movie.
Meanwhile,
Trishul
has
spoken
high
about
Veena
Malik
by
claiming
that
no
actress
in
Sandalwood,
Kollywood,
Tollywood
and
Bollywood
could
match
the
calibre
of
the
Pakistani
actress.
However,
it
is
not
the
first
time
the
movie
has
hit
the
headlines
for
wrong
reasons.
Earlier,
it
almost
seemed
like
landed
in
trouble
after
Bollywood
producer
Ekta
Kapoor
filed
a
complaint
at
the
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
against
the
use
of
the
title.
