Veena Malik puts on weight for Dirty Picture

Veena Malik, like Vidya Balan, has put on weight for the role of Silk Smitha in Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga. The Pakistani actress has increased five Kgs for her role in the upcoming Kannada movie.

The actress has said that her normal weight was 48 but for this role, she has put on five Kgs. Unlike Vidya Balan, who piled on 12 Kgs for The Dirty Picture, the Pakistani gal has not gone to that extent to increase weight, as she felt that piling up five kgs was enough for her character.

Veena Malik further adds that Silk Smitha in Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga is not a remake of Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture rather it is a different take of Silk's life. Audiences have to wait until the release to know what the movie is all about. She ends on the note that the film has completed 40% of the shooting.

Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga, which was launched officially on June 13, is based on the real life story of yesteryear sex siren Silk Smitha and it also features Tamil actor Parthiepan and newcomer Akshay. Senior actor Srinivasa Murthy is playing an important role in the movie.
