Veena Malik's visa issues halt DPSMS shooting

The shooting of the Kannada film Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga (DPSSM) has been halted over the visa issues of actress Veena Malik. It is reported that Veena, who is a Pakistan national, is facing a CBI inquiry with regard to her visa. She is still awaiting permission to shoot for the movie in Bangalore.

Veena Malik was to attend a photo shoot for the film Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga on May 17. Talking to an English daily, director Trishul says that she could not make it to the photo shoot of his film because as per Indian visa norms, a Pakistani national should get permits for every state he/she visits in India.

Trishul adds that the movie Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga will be shot in Goa and Karnataka. Veena Malik had already got permission to visit Goa. She visited the CBI office in Bangalore on Friday afternoon after she was enquired into her purpose of visiting to Karnataka. She had to sign official documents and follow routine procedures.

Meanwhile, the director also says that producers of his film have sent letters to the CBI stating that she is a part of their film and have sought permission for her to shoot in Bangalore. However, Trishul adds that Veena is sorry about not attending the photo shoot and she is expected to join his team on May 24.
