Ambareesh-Ravichandran To Be Feted In Chennai

The Rebel Star Ambareesh and Crazy Star Ravichandra will be honoured at the celebration of Indian Cinema Centanary Award, which is scheduled to take place in Chennai.

The event will be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, on September 21, at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. The event will be graced by the celebrities from South Indian film industries - Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.

Malayalam and Tamil chapters of the film chamber will be sharing four hours each to make presentations on September 22, while Telugu and Kannada industry will take two slots the next day, September 23.

Apart from Ambareesh and Ravichandran, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has selected 60 celebrities from Sandalwood. The honours list includes, Parvathamma Rajkumar, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, B Saroja Devi, Leelavathi, Jayanti, Dwarkish, SV Rajendrasingh Babu and Girish Kasaravalli.

According to KFCC sources, the veteran actors like S Shivaram, Harini, Jayamala, Ajanta Raju, KCN Chandrashekar, Vijay Reddy, SK Bhagavan, KSL Swamy, Lahari Velu, Babu Khan, BK Sumithra, Rajesh Krishnan, Ashok, S Ankalagi, KN Taylor, BS Basavaraj, MS Umesh and Mugur Sundar, are also included in the list.

Kannada actor like Shivraj Kumar, Darshan, Sudeep, Upendra, Puneet Rajkumar, Ragini Dwivedi, Radhika Pandit, Radhika Kumarswamy and others are expected to perform for Kannada numbers in the finale, that will be held at Nandan Auditorium in Chennai on September 24.
