Cameraman Sundarnath Suvarna Passes Away

Sandalwoood's ace cinematographer Sundarnath Suvarna passes away, today, December 10. He breathed his last at his residence in Hanumanth Nagar, Bangalore.

It is reported that Sundarnath Suvarna was suffering from cancer from past few days and was under palliative care. The body will be kept for the public viewing at his residence.

Sundarnath Suvarna Passes Away

Sundarnath Suvarna made his debut as cinematographer with Apooropada Athithi. The movie had Sandalwood's ace actor-director Kashinath in the lead role. He has also worked as a cinematographer in more than 150 films in Kannada. Agni Parva, Sri Manjunatha, Mussanje Mathu, Chelaata, Amruthavarshini, Anuraga Sangama, Nammoora Mandara Hoove, Indradanush, Rajakiya, Thamassu and Anjadiru were few famous movies, which had the amazing camera work of Sundarnath.

Sundarnath Suvarna's cinematography was mass appreciated by the audience in epic movie Gandugali Kumararama. He was also successful in handling camera for the action thrillers like Lock Up Death, Golibar and others.

Sundarnath was the most wanted cinematographer in the 80s and 90s. He was felicitated with Rajyotsava award this year (2013). Apart from cinematography, he had also directed the movies like Agni Parva, Nee Nanna Daiva, Tiger Gangu and Khiladi Thatha, and produced the movies like Arambha, Halliyaadarenu Shiva starring Kumar Govind in the lead role.
