Now, yet another flick is ready to hit the screens. Well, it is none other than superstar Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express, which is releasing worldwide tomorrow (August 8).
Expectations are huge from the audience and traders for Chennai Express. Traders are predicting the movie to make earth-shattering collections considering the long weekend (4 days).
Many are eagerly looking forward to see whether the film breaks Shahrukh Khan's Jab Tak Hain Jaan collections in the Mysore region. JTHJ Made Record-breaking Collections
Jab Tak Hain Jaan (JTHJ) made record-breaking collections in the Mysore region. The main share of income had come from Bangalore. Will Chennai Express break Shahrukh Khan's JTHJ collections? We have to wait for a few more days to know it.
Now, traders are expecting the same from Chennai Express. Firstly, they points out the four-day weekend. Next is obviously the fan following of Shahrukh Khan in Karnataka which would help the movie to do good business.
Not to forget the factor of Bangalore babe Deepika Padukone, whose presence in Chennai Express is expected to boost the collections.
Aum Movies Distribution
Trade reports say that the Mysore region rights have been acquired by Aum Movies. It has purchased the theatrical rights for Rs 4.50 crore.
Chennai Express is directed by Mangalore-based Rohit Shetty. The film has Sathyaraj, Nikitin Dheer, Manorama, Kamini Kaushal and others in the cast.

However, Chennai Express will not have a smooth release due to South movies. There are few big releases, which could slow down the collections.
Thalaivaa, A Threat To Chennai Express?
Firstly, Tamil movie Thalaivaa starring Vijay and Amala Paul is releasing on August 9. The film has got a good number of screens for its release in Karnataka.

Thalaivaa is expected to give a tough competition for Chennai Express in Bangalore. It has to be noted that Vijay, like Shahrukh Khan, enjoys a good fan following in the state.
Tony To Face Chennai Express Heat!
And Kannada movie Tony starring Srinagar Kitty and Aindrita Ray is also releasing on August 9. Though it is not as big as Chennai Express or Thalaivaa, the Sandalwood movie is expected pull the local audience into theatres in huge numbers.
