Shahrukh Khan seems to have mesmerised Bangalore audience once again. The actor's much-hyped Chennai Express has been overwhelming welcomed by the local audience as it has reportedly made mind-blowing collections at Box Office.
Like every other major cities in India, Chennai Express has done remarkable business at Box Office. It has proved again that it is a paradise for Hindi movies and especially the Khans' movies in Bangalore.
Traders in Bangalore predict that Chennai Express could have collected approximately Rs 30 lakhs (gross) in paid reviews in Bangalore alone. The movie has collected Rs 6.75 crore (nett) on Thursday (August 8) in India, which is said to be the highest ever collection for a Hindi movie in the country.
Chennai Express had around ninety screenings on Thursday evening in Bangalore. The response for the evening shows were fantastic and the multiplexes ran for a packed houses. In fact, the film has went on to break the records set by another Hindi movie 3 Idiots, which starred Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Increase In Screenings
Multiplexes had increased the number of screenings on Thursday and Friday. It helped Chennai Express to break Box Office records and set a new benchmark for the preview show.
To meet the huge demand, multiplexes were forced to dedicate a huge number of screens for Chennai Express. And ticket prices, as always, were high on Thursday and Friday.
Some of the multiplexes had 12 screenings on Friday for Chennai Express. Though they wanted to increase, it was not possible because there were a few South big movies, which took away lot of screens.
Chennai Express To Beat JTHJ
Chennai Express is likely to beat the records of Jab Tak Hain Jaan records in this part of the world. The Yash Chopra directorial movie had set a new record at Karnataka Box Office (Mysore Region).
Aum Movies Distribution
Aum Movies has bought the distribution rights of Chennai Express for Karnataka region. It has acquired the theatrical rights for Rs 4.50 crore.
Chennai Express Clashes
Chennai Express faced a lot of competition from a few South releases. Firstly, Illayathalapathy Vijay's Thalaivaa, which released in above 25 screens in Bangalore, clashed with the Hindi movie.
The next is Kannada movie Tony, which was released in 125+ screens in Bangalore. It has to be noted that this movie has got a good opening and critics have given thumbs up to Srinagar Kitty-Aindrita Ray starrer movie. The good word-of-mouth is expected to give a tough time to Chennai Express in Bangalore.
Chennai Express is directed by Mangalore-based Rohit Shetty. The film stars Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leads. Sathyaraj, Nikitin Dheer, Manorama, Kamini Kaushal and others are in the cast.
