Duniya Vijay applies for divorce; Shubha Poonja speaks

All is not well in Duniya Vijay's life as the actor has applied for divorce. The news became official with Vijay appearing before the family court on Thursday (January 17).

Vijay had married Nagarathna, 14 years ago and they have three children. According to TV channel reports, "In his petition, Vijay allegedly claimed that Nagaratha was not taking care of his parents well and accused her of mental torture. Hence, he is seeking the divorce."

In the recent years, there were reports on Kannada tabloids regarding his trouble in his married life. It was said that Vijay had an affair with a popular Kannada actress and it created a crack in his married life. Nonetheless, he had denied the reports on his affair.

However, Duniya Vijay, who disappeared from the court soon after his visit to the court, was spotted by media, has refused to talk about the divorce. The actor will talk about it at the appropriate time. More news on this is awaited...

Shubha Poonja, who has been busy shooting Meenakshi, said, "I am not aware of their divorce and I'm not the reason behind it. Vijay and I have worked together in a few films and our relationship is limited to professional."

"Vijay had never discussed with me about the divorce and I don't even know the reason behind the couple heading for the divorce," she added.
