Gold price has seen a sharp dip in the recent months and so is the market of our Golden Star Ganesh, say industry insiders. A series of failures has almost relegated his obscurity. On his 33rd birthday, the industry and his fans hope that he will make his comeback like a phoenix raising from the ashes.
100s of people walk around the streets of Gandhi Nagar dreaming of being an actor or a star, may be, someday. Only countable will get opportunities to don the grease paint, of which only blessed ones with talent will make some impact in the film industry.
Like many aspiring actors, Ganesh too entered Bangalore hoping to earn his daily bread and butter in the film industry. After working as an assistant director and doing small-roles in films, he ventured into small-screen and got huge popularity with Comedy Time. His mimicries of stars with a good sense of humour earned him a good fan following.
He also acted in over 10 films as a second fiddle or as a character artist. In 2006, MD Sridhar launched him as a hero with Chellata. But it was sleeper-hit Mungaaru Male directed by Yogaraj Bhat that made him a star overnight.

Ganesh was part of some of the superhit movies like Cheluvina Chittara, Krishna, etc. It was once again Yogaraj Bhat who gave a blockbuster movie in the form of Gaalipata to the actor.
The Rise of Newbies
However, slowly Ganesh's romantic movies started getting lukewarm response with the arrival of young actors like Diganth, Yash and a few others. His similar kind of roles and projects failed to pull audience to theatres.
Ganesh, Behind The Camera
This made him to start his own production house and also paved way for him to wear the director's cap in Kool. However, his directional debut failed to keep the cash registers ringing.
Maximum Releases, Minimum Hits
If we analyse his movies of three years, we hardly see a blockbuster in his credit. The actor has managed to deliver two average movies since 2010 which has become a worrying factor for his fans.
Offers Continue To Come His Way
Nonetheless, Ganesh has managed to bag films, but nothing has worked out for him. Blame it on the wrong choice of films, which have done no good to his career. However, his fans want him to work with Yogaraj Bhat again and they believe that it would bring him back to the form.
Wish His Fortunes Will Change Again
Well, Ganesh has two films in his kitty. Sakkare and Shravani Subramanya are his next movies. However, fans, on his birthday, wish that the actor with such a huge talent will get a much-needed break in his forthcoming movies.
