Kannada Industry Upset Over Indian Cinema Centenary Celebration

South Indian film industry is all set to celebrate the 100 years of Indian cinema, from tomorrow, September 21. The event will be held in Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.

The Kannada film industry, which is also a part of the celebration is completely ignored by the organisers. The Indian Cinema Centenary Celebration (ICCC) invite, which reached Bangalore city, has completely disappointed the Kannada celebrities.

100 Years Of Indian Cinema

It is said that the invitation card hardly makes reference to Kannada film industries, which has neglected the names of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Ambareesh, Ravichnadran, Parvathamma Rajkumar, B Saroja Devi and other veteran actors.

Also the name of Karnataka Film Chamber Of Commerce (KFCC) president Vijay Kumar has also been printed wrong. In one invite, it says KV Vijay Kumar and in other, it says B Vijay Kumar.

Kannada producers has expressed their anger for the page full photo of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Kannada actor Jaggesh expressed his anger on social networking site, Twitter. He tweeted, "Our cinema 100yrs but sad thing no unity,individual thinking virus corrupted cinema computer."

Jaggesh further tweets, "Award , reward,easily manipulated in cinema industry, coz politics is playing vital roll god bless kannada and cinema. If u hv money and power everything in this country is urs???? How is it. 4 states celebrate 100 yrs cinema function in Chennai without respecting our cm, is it right?"
