Tamil superstar Rajinikanth will be seen like Purandara Dasa, a prominent composers of Carnatic music, who is widely regarded as the "Grandfather of Carnatic Music'. Not in any of his forthcoming movies, but a portrait of him has been designed by an artist.
Sri Purandara International Trust had planned a ceremony to felicitate Rajinikanth last week at Town Hall in Bangalore. But as the superstar is busy with his next multilingual movie Kochadaiyaan, it was gifted to his close friend Raj Bahadur.
Rajinikanth had asked his close friend to represent him and receive the honours from them to make up for his absence. Superstar Rajini's relative Gopinath Rao also took part in the event.
