Kannada actress Nikita Thukral, known for films like Prince and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna has been roped in to be a part of yet untitled Hindi remake of Malayalam superhit Traffic.
"Yes, we have roped in Nikita for the Hindi remake of Traffic. I don't want to talk about her role at this moment, but we are planning to start shooting soon," the film's director Rajesh Pillai, who had helmed the original as well, told IANS.
Traffic, which was inspired by real events, was recently made in Tamil as Chennaiyil Oru Naal and garnered critical acclaim. The movie starred Anup Menon, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Remya Nambeesan, Roma and Kadhal Sandhya in the lead roles. It was a story about organ donation narrated in a hyperlink format.
The director is still to finalise the remaining cast for the remake. "The casting is going on for the Hindi version. I can't talk about the rest of the cast until it is finalised," he added.
Nikita Thukral was one of the strong contestants in Bigg Boss Kannada hosted by Sudeep.
