Legendary singer PB Srinivas passed away earlier today (April 14) at his residence in Chennai due to heart attack. He was 82.
He was not keeping well for over a couple of weeks. PB Srinivas was admitted to a hospital last week and later he was brought back to the residence a few days ago. He collapsed and died from the heart attack after finishing his bath around 1 PM today.
Talking to media, his son Nanda Kishore said that his body will be kept for public viewing today. Meanwhile, the family is also waiting for their close relatives to arrive. The funeral rights will be performed tomorrow in Chennai.
He was born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh on September 22, 1930 to Phanindra Swamy and Sesha Giriamma. His full names was Prativadi Bhayankara Sreenivas. The legend sung in eight film industries and crooned over 3000 songs.
PB Srinivas, who was popular known as PBS, started his singing career at the age of 22 in Hindi film Sampat. However, he his association with late Dr Rajkumar became popular with audience and won appraisal from critics. Some of the notable films were Emme Thammana, Paropakari, Bangarada Manushaya, Babravahana, Bhakta Kanakadasa, Sakshatkara, Vijayanagarada Veeraputra etc.
