Politics isn't my cup of tea: Radhika Kumaraswamy
Actress and the wife of politician HD Kumaraswamy, Radhika seems to be not interested in politics. The one-time glamorous actress is returning to acting with her forthcoming movie Sweety - Nanna Jodi.
In the recent years, there were many reports, which speculated the possible entry of Radhika Kumaraswamy to politics. Taking example of many actresses in different states including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, many claimed that the actress would join politics some day.
However, she has put an end to all those rumours by saying that politics isn't her cup of tea. Recently, Radhika Kumaraswamy was holidaying in Coorg and had settled at a hotel in Kushalnagar, where she announced the news.
"I am not interested in politics and my passion was always cinema," said the actress, who has acted in over 30 films in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu film industries. Continue reading the story on the slideshow...
Radhika Married Kumaranna In 2006
Radhika Kumaraswamy secretly married HD Kumaraswmy in 2006. Her last film Eshwar was also with Aditya, but the the ill-fated movie was not lucky to see the light of day after the actress tied the knot.
Radhika Out of Acting For 6 Years
Radhika claims, "I was out for six years from film industry. Now, my daughter Shamika is four. So, I get time to concentrate on my work. Hence, I decided to return."
Daughter, The Best Friend
She adds, "Shamika will be going to school from this year. All these years, she used to come with me to the sets. As I don't have much friends in the industry and I consider my daughter as my best friend."
Sweety Status
Talking about the movie Sweety, Radhika said, "The movie is almost complete and it is getting ready for release. Apart from Aditya, Ramya Krishna and Jai Jagdish are in the movie. They will be playing the role of my parents. There is also Sadhu Kokila in the film."
Her Other Movie
Radhika Kumaraswamy's comeback movie Sweety is directed by Vijayalakshmi Singh. She has also signed a movie directed by Sai Prakash, which will star Shivaraj Kumar. The trio had earlier part of successful movie Tavarige Baa Thangi and the forthcoming movie will be also made on similar lines.
